Dr. Wang lead a teacher training at the University of Alabama to support middle and high school teachers in disadvantaged community.

Dr. Wang conducts research in different areas of educational psychology including motivation, self-determination theory, academic persistance, and achievement emotion.

Lab
The Micro-Facial Expression Tracking (MET) Lab aims at understanding students’ emotions when they are conducting different kinds of learning tasks. The MET equipment we are using enable us to recognize real time emotion reaction towards challenging tasks.
