
SUSTAINABLE BUILDINGS FROM MICRO TO MACRO SCALES
Our Mission
Ye’s research group aims to become a research and education center for sustainable buildings from micro (building energy systems) to macro (urban scale). The group works on integrated solutions for sustainable, resilient, and equitable buildings, communities, and cities in the design and operation stages. With close collaborations with different domain experts and industrial partners, the group hopes to bridge architectural engineering and other domains’ knowledge, and research and practical applications for interdisciplinary research.
Openings
The selected candidate will work in one of the following areas:
- Building performance analysis using physics-based and state-of-the-art machine learning approaches
- Scalable solutions for integrated building system controls
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or master’s (preferred) degree in architectural engineering, building science, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or other related fields.
- Strong mathematical background and proficient programming skills.
- Self-motivation and responsible personality.
- Candidates with research, modeling, and publication experience are preferred.
