Welcome to the Laboratory for Risk Decision Making at the University of Alabama!

In this lab, we investigate social, behavioral, and physical dimensions of risks, hazards, and disasters within a geographic context. Our research is primarily empirical and quantitative. Our research has been supported by the National Academies of Sciences Gulf Research Program (NASEM GRP), U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC), National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Cooperative Institute for Research to Operations in Hydrology (CIROH), National Science Foundation (NSF), and the U.S. Department of Treasury and Alabama Center of Excellence.
