Individuals who qualify for the Academy include:

• K-12 leaders with a proven history of student achievement results.
  
• Superintendents of mid-size school systems with strong gains in student achievement.
  
• Progressive leaders from state departments of education.
  
• Entrepreneurial leaders of successful public charter management organizations and other innovative education organizations.
  
• Civic-minded leaders outside K-12 who are passionate about public education.
