Taylor Zingg, Ph.D.


Dr. Taylor Zingg is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Health Science at the University of Alabama (UA). Dr. Zingg primarily focuses on providing evidence-based, culturally competent education within undergraduate and graduate courses. In addition to teaching, Dr. Zingg’s research focuses on parent-adolescent relationships related to adverse sexual health outcomes, sex education interventions, and the utilization of m-Health phone applications for health behavior interventions. She is currently working on four clinical trials with the Stephenson Cancer Center in Oklahoma City, OK. These clinical trials focus on smoking cessation via m-Health phone applications. She has also conducted research exploring other areas in health promotion, including college student compliance with gluten-free diets, modifiable health risk factors among homeless adults, and perceptions of condom use among sexually active adults. 

Before joining UA in August 2022, Dr. Zingg served as a Graduate Research/Teaching Assistant while finishing her doctorate in the Department of Health and Exercise Science at the University of Oklahoma.
