Purpose of CASA

Projects

Sexual consent & alcohol use: These projects are focused on assessing how people combine alcohol, sexual consent, and sexual activity. 

Sexual refusal communication: These projects are focused on understanding how people communicate a refusal to sexual activity and what people are learning about sexual refusals in their sexual health education. 

Sexual violence & alcohol use: These projects are focused on understanding how alcohol use increases the risk for a sexual assault to occur with a focus on understanding how alcohol increases the likelihood of men to engage in sexual aggression. 

Bystander behaviors & alcohol use: Projects in this area are focused on understanding how alcohol impairs someone’s ability to effectively stop a sexual assault from occurring.
