Tim Ferguson

I am an Associate Professor at the University of Alabama in the Mathematics Department.

My research focuses on extremal problems in spaces of analytic functions, as well as spaces of analytic functions and complex analysis in general.  I am also interested in operator theory and harmonic analysis.  I received my Ph.D. in April 2011 from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. My advisor there was Peter Duren.  My dissertation was titled “Extremal Problems in Bergman Spaces.”  I had a three year postdoc position at Vanderbilt, and now I have a tenure-track job here at UA!
