We investigate basic precision Quantum Physics principles and develop niche timing, frequency and navigation tools. Precise Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) is the backbone of our everyday lives and atomic/optical clocks are at the heart of PNT. Innumerable primary and secondary applications such as GNSS, telecom and power grid synchronization, defense and space etc rely on the PNT technologies and related infrastructure – on earth and in space (satellites). Extension of PNT towards deep space – to Moon and further is a challenging and exciting prospect. Our team with active collaborations pursue the PNT challenges helping to empower and enhance the human lives on Earth and beyond.
Our active research is structured on four key pillars:
1. Precision Devices Research
- Novel portable atomic (optical) clocks
- High-end space clocks
- Precision Magnetometers
2. Clocks Networking and Synchronization
- Ensemble, synchronization & dissemination
- Novel AI methods
