As a theoretical physicist my goal is to connect fundamental theoretical principles with feasible experiments.
For this purpose I am using analytical and numerical methods. In particular, I consider principles learned from the mathematical framework of string theory. I apply these fundamental principles to strongly coupled quantum systems far from equilibrium, such as the quark-gluon plasma generated in heavy-ion-collisions, neutron stars, ultracold atoms, particular topological phases. Topics of interest include:

  • Holographic Principle & Gauge/Gravity Correspondence (AdS/CFT)
  • Quantum Field Theory, Gravitational Physics, String Theory
  • Hydrodynamics and other Effective Field Theories
  • Strongly Coupled Many-Body Quantum Systems in and out of Equilibrium
  • Quark-Gluon-Plasma and Heavy-Ion Collisions
  • Condensed Matter Physics
  • Quantum Entanglement, Quantum Information, and Thermalization
  • Machine Learning
