Welcome to the Terry Water Research Laboratory! The Terry Research group specializes in sustainable drinking water treatment technologies for surface water, groundwater, and water reuse applications. The research group interests include PFAS detection and destruction, biological filtration, disinfection by-products, trace contaminants of concern, microbial processes, optical properties of dissolved organic matter, STEM education, and others. Water is a precious commodity and our group looks at innovative ways to provide potable water to communities across the globe. Our group is led by Associate Professor Leigh Gilmore Terry. Dr. Terry joined the Department of Civil, Construction, and Environmental Engineering Department in Spring of 2018. She is a faculty member teaching courses focused on Environmental Engineering.
