Mrs. Lesley McDonald received her MA and BS from the University of Alabama, and is a Registered and Licensed Dietitian.  She has been an instructor for on-campus and distance nutrition courses since 2014. Mrs. McDonald has been a practicing dietitian in the clinical and community settings, where her area of expertise is public health, and maternal and child health.

She spends much of her time away from work giving back to the dietetics community.  Mrs. McDonald recently served as the President of the Alabama Dietetic Association, the Council of Professional Issues Chair for the Alabama Dietetic Association, and President of the Birmingham District Dietetic Association .  She is also a member of the Society of Nutrition Education & Behavior, and the Nutrition & Dietetics Educators and Preceptors group, within the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics
