If you are completing your internship for credit, in order to receive credit for the work at your internship location, during the semester in which you are completing your internship, you MUST be registered for the internship class, KIN 488, for at least one credit hour. Each credit hour requires 30  hours of work. Students can take between 1 to 12 credit hours of internship over one or multiple semesters. Students must complete the work required prior to graduation and provide proof of completed hours from their supervisor to get a passing grade. If proof is not submitted prior to the end of the semester, the student will receive an incomplete. Incomplete grades will factor into a student’s GPA as a failing grade, until the necessary requirements to submit a grade change are completed. If these requirements are not completed by the time of graduation, the incomplete will become a failing grade. For more information on internship guidelines, internship locations, how to change your internship hours, and other documents that may be required when interning with a non UA affiliated organization (affiliation agreements), click on the appropriate button below.
