I attended one of my favorite conferences, the annual Louisville Conference on Literature and Culture. I gave two papers. The first paper was in a seminar/workshop on “Poetry, Games and Magic” titled “Teaching Traditional Indigenous Analog Gestural Storytelling Games and Contemporary Indigenous Video Games.” In this setting, I wanted to work out some ideas about Indigenous games before teaching a course on Literature and Games next semester. The second paper, a normal conference paper, was an early draft of the 20th Century chapter of my dissertation on notebooks. Loved this conference as always — there’s no pretension, everyone there just loves to talk about literature.
