Dr. Jeff Farr
Dr. Jeff Farr joined the faculty at the Capstone in the fall of 2023 and comes in to help launch the newly-formed Sport Management bachelor’s degree program. He comes to Tuscaloosa after spending 2 years as an Assistant Professor of Recreation, Parks, and Sport Management at Frostburg State University (MD).
Prior to his time as a faculty member at Frostburg State, Dr. Farr completed his Ph.D. at the University of Illinois (2021) and earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Texas at Austin (2001 & 2016, respectively).
He is joined in TTown by his wife, Casey, and their 5 pets, and they are frequently visited by their daughter, who attends college in NYC. Aside from his studies and spending time with his family, Dr. Farr enjoys attending sporting events and concerts, and has become somewhat skilled with home improvement projects.
