ESODD is a research group focused on advancing the modeling, analysis, and optimization of energy and thermal systems. Our work integrates physics-based simulation, data-driven forecasting, and inverse methods to support the design, control, and diagnosis of complex energy systems.

Research areas include building energy performance prediction, optimal siting of renewable energy systems, inverse thermal modeling, and parameter estimation. The group also explores advanced materials for thermal energy storage and enhancing system efficiency. Through a systems-level approach, ESODD aims to enable more efficient, intelligent, and sustainable energy solutions across applications in buildings and infrastructure.
