Vikash Ramesh

Mr. Ramesh holds a Master of Pharmacy degree specializing in Pharmaceutics from Lovely Professional University, Punjab. His dissertation thesis was developing a preservative-free lipid-based nanocarrier for treating ocular diseases. The study’s outcome was a better permeation and sustained release profile of the drug-loaded nanocarrier, thereby minimizing the frequency of administration of topical eye drops. His expertise includes developing lipid nanocarriers and characterization. After completing his master’s, he worked as a Junior Research Fellow at Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, with a project focusing on developing delivery systems for treating posterior segment eye diseases.
After his tenure as a research fellow, he worked as a lecturer at the College of Pharmacy, Sri Ramakrishna Institute of Paramedical Sciences, Coimbatore, where he taught physical pharmaceutics and drug delivery systems. His area of research interest includes formulation development, pharmacokinetics, and pharmacodynamics. Vikash joined The Kumar Lab in August 2024, where his research will focus on developing therapies for comorbid autoimmune diseases.
