Udita Shiromani

Ms. Shiromani holds a master’s degree in Pharmaceutics from Indian Institute of Technology (Banaras Hindu University), Varanasi, India. During her master’s degree, she worked on the development of hesperetin topical nanoemulsion gel for melanoma therapy. This study included the formulation development and characterization of hesperetin nanoemulsion, with subsequent evaluation of formulation’s in vitro anti-tumor efficacy through studies on B16F10 cell line, followed by incorporation of nanoemulsion into gel matrix, with further evaluation of gel characteristics. After completion of her master’s degree, Udita joined The Kumar Lab in August 2024. Her research will focus on gaining mechanistic insights into how polymer nanoparticles are transported across the gut-blood barrier, and applying these findings to develop technologies for treating chronic diseases.
