Our formulation development plays a key role in drug repositioning and minimizing attrition. We specialize in optimizing drug delivery systems using biodegradable polyesters and hydrogels. By custom-synthesizing polymers for precise ligand-receptor interactions, we create tailored solutions for personalized medicine. Our work with intelligent hydrogels, which respond to physiological changes such as temperature, pH, and glucose levels including glucose-powered hydrogels holds promise for applications in diabetes management and beyond.
We conduct rigorous evaluations of investigational drugs through in vitro, ex vivo, and in vivo models. Our innovative ex vivo systems, such as the rat eyeball model, address biological barriers like the blood-ocular barrier, enhancing the relevance of drug testing. Preclinical testing is critical to assessing the safety and efficacy of potential therapies before human trials. We use various animal models to simulate conditions like acute kidney injury, diabetes, ocular diseases, lupus, comorbidities, and cancer, studying the impact of new drugs on disease progression and off-target organ function. This testing is essential in identifying promising interventions, determining safe dosages, and predicting side effects.
