Meet the Team!
Graduate Students
Munsu Kim
Ph.D. Student, Materials Science

Munsu is focused on the effect of Mg content on the corrosion and mechanical properties of additively manufactured Al-Mg alloys fabricated by cold gas dynamic spraying (cold spray).
M.Eng., Machine and Materials Engineering, National Korea Maritime and Ocean University, 2019
B. Eng., Marine Mechanics and Energy Systems, National Korea Maritime and Ocean University, 2013
Yoel Emun
Ph.D. Student, Materials Science

Yoel is focused on the effect of processing history and microstructure on the hydrogen uptake, permeation, and trapping performance of a variety of ferrous metals. He is also working to design novel Mg alloys for biomedical applications.
M.A.Sc., Materials Science and Engineering, McMaster University, 2019
B.Eng., Materials Science and Engineering, McMaster University, 2017
Justin Geisler – NASA Pathways Fellow
Ph.D. Student, Materials Science

Justin is focused on the effect of thermal history on the microstructure and corrosion performance of simulated repairs to aerospace aluminum alloys fabricated by additive friction stir deposition.
