  • Evaluating fan engagement with sporting franchise. We seek to study long-term individual and collective engagement with a sports franchise as it evolved in tandem with significant real-world events.
  • Examining visual misinformation. We plan to evaluate the characteristics of multimedia presentations of misinformation and determine their effects on viewer emotional responses.
  • Predicting international and subnational cooperation and conflict. We will analyze data from social media records, news outlets, and dam tenders to identify societal resilience indicators and predict the emergence of conflict.
  • Risk information behaviors during severe weather. We intend to evaluate available information and how it drives the actions of decision-makers and the general public during hurricanes and other severe weather events.
  • Suicide prevention outreach. We plan to engage with state-level opinion leaders to improve the dissemination of information and support for suicide prevention, connecting individuals in need with an appropriate mental health agency.
